Once the clean-up is done, the wires are shaped, sized and
placed.
The archwire is tied to the individual brackets with elastic ties
of varying color. Since it is the most comfortable for the patient, we like to tie from
the center back at the first appointment and not skip around. Thus, only one color is
allowed at the first tie-in. In
subsequent appointments, two colors are generally permitted and can be changed each month.
And the finished result in about 45 minutes.
