Full Braces

 

 

There are five main steps in placing full braces:

1) Separation of the first molars 7 to 14 days prior to the banding (braces) appointment.

2) Removal of the separators and fitting bands on the first molars.

3) Preparing the other teeth and placing the direct bonded brackets.

4) Cementing the bands and cleaning up the excess.

5) Placement of the initial archwires.

 

At the end of treatment the patient is required to wear retainers.  The retainer page follows these steps.
