I have had 30 years of orthodontic practice experience in Madison, WI and the vicinity; the first 8 years in multi-specialty practice and last 22 years in private practice.

Although I was with a group in my first years of practice, I was responsible for management of the “Orthodontic Department” and have managed my practice the entire 30 years.  I was a founding partner of the group but decided to leave for private practice when my partners decided they wanted to have all specialists under similar contracts as employees. The change would not allow me to continue with my retirement funding as I had planned it and my partners did not share my concerns regarding long range financial planning.   As it turns out, this was a "turning point" decision in my life because it was the first step that allowed me to be here in Arizona at age 56.

My wife (of 35 years) and I wanted to move to Arizona and get out of the winter for the rest of our lives. My practice was acquired by a nationally traded company at a very fair value and I continued on for 2 years to allow for patient transition.   Also, we are closer to our daughters in Peoria, AZ and San Diego, CA.  I am in excellent health and would like to work approximately 10 more years.

In the last 9 years I worked on and refined software that takes information regarding the responsible party, patient and pre-programmed discount and insurance programs to produce a “Treatment Agreement” and “Informed Consent to Orthodontic Treatment” by pushing 2 command buttons.

The software can be individualized to any practice and the insurance products they serve.  It provides a means to easily integrate orthodontics into a group, general dental or orthodontic practice (provided the office management software in use has a budget billing capacity).  This software is intended to be an adjunct to, and not replace, the dental management software in use by the office.

My schedule is flexible and I can work on a per diem, production or collection basis.  I am completely open to negotiation.  However, I am not interested in simply renting space.

I am basically a turn-key "Orthodontic Department" that any practice can add to their office as long as they have a minimum two day per month need in the long run.  It may take 6 months for the schedule to fill out to that level but should by then.  Below that level of need, I feel the cost effectiveness of integrated orthodontics into a group or general practice may not be profitable enough to consider.

I look forward to the opportunity to meet with an interested dental or orthodontic practice to discuss compensation and demonstrate the software discussed above.  I look forward to hearing from you soon!
